Live in Dublin

Here are some tips of nice places to live when visiting Dublin. And also some tips for those who’s planing to move here. I’ll try to update it every so often.

SHORT TERM
   The Kildare Street Hotel
The Hotel #1. Not only for the nice interior and atmosphere, nor because it is central and within walking distance to everything. What makes the hotel is all of the people working there. They are a wonderful bunch of people that welcomes you, takes care of you and remember you.

LONG TERM
If you are planing to move to Dublin, the following websites are great to use:
daft.ie
easyroomate
They are excellent sites when looking for a place to rent or share. Sign up what areas you’re interested in, for what price etc. and you will get noticed if something in your area is available.

Here are some info, tips, do’s and don’ts when searching:
– September is the hardest time to search a flat because of the many students looking for accommodation, have patience.
– If it’s difficult to find something, stay cool! You will succeed, so don’t get to desperate. Do not take whatever!
– Always try to get an earlier viewing, others will try the same, and that would up your chances. And if possible, don’t let it pass to many days.
– Be prepared with the deposite in cash when viewing, it might be your only chance.
– Book accommodation in a hostel while searching.
– What ever you do, never sign a contract without seeing the place first!
